Video Pick of the Week
February 1, 2008
Cast your mind back to the Sowerby and Luff Show’s escapades in New York (episode #39, if you’re counting) and you’ll recall an interview with Eliza Skinner, recorded after a performance of her show Shameless, in which she portrays three attention-hungry women, including clubber Amy.
(I don’t know about any of you other gents out there, but I’ve certainly met a few Amys in my time. But I’m all right now. That’s right, I’ve become a eunuch…)
Anyway, back to the multi-talented Eliza…
In addition to her solo shows, you can also find her regularly tub-thumping away with Stickerbook, the city’s finest female covers band, and this coming week you can see her ”crapping out” three different musicals from one audience suggestion before your very eyes as part of the ECNY award-winning musical improv duo I Eat Pandas. The show’s on at the UCB Theater on Monday 4th and Monday 11th (both 9:30pm), and at Under St. Mark’s on Wednesday 6th (8pm).
In NYC? Then go see.
