We’ve also two songs from Rob Paravonian, making his first trip to the UK, fresh from a tour with the late, great George Carlin. Rob is appearing with Liam McEneaney in Two American Comedians Lose Their Shirts at the Edinburgh Fringe at Laughing Horse @ Meadow Bar. Shows are at 12:05 daily until August 25th (except 23rd), although Rob is only on the bill until the 13th. The show comes highly recommended and has had some great reviews from The Scotsman and Three Weeks over the last few days. www.robprocks.com

…and a scary Italian gentleman whose theatre show has been and gone.

Pre-Edinburgh Shows – plus Sex Tips for Pandas Guests!
Comedy 365’s Edinburgh 2008 season is well underway and we’ve some special programmes over the next couple of days featuring some of the guest acts due to appear with Sowerby & Luff at The Dragonfly throughout August.
Thursday sees another chance to hear James Shakeshaft and David Davis with John Dredge in his Didn’t Quite Make it in Time for Christmas Show. James and David will be with us at The Dragonfly from August 3rd to 8th.
On Friday, we’ve a very special half-hour edition of Chickenflaps, where comedy musician (or should that be musical comedian?) Rob Paravonian introduces a personal selection of songs from his repertoire. Rob will be with us for a song or two and a chat on August 9th, and will also be appearing with Liam McEneaney in Two American Comedians Lose Their Shirts at the Edinburgh Fringe at Laughing Horse @ Meadow Bar, 42-44 Buccleuch Street at 12:05 between August 6th and 13th. It’s free to enter, although voluntary contributions are welcome. Liam himself will be joining us on the 14th.
Finally, the second episode of Pegabovine’s wonderful House of Mirth can be heard again on Saturday. You can catch Davis Wateracre with us from August 13th to 17th, and in Pegabovine’s own offering this year, Polite Club, at the Pleasance Courtyard every day until August 24th, except the 11th and 18th. The show starts at the jolly decent hour of 1:30pm and tickets range in price between £5 and an an extraordinarily reasonable £8. Visit www.pegabovine.co.uk for more details.
As for guests generally, below you will find the schedule as things currently stand. As is usual with these things, all appearances are subject to change – but we will endeavour to update and amend this list as the festival progresses, as we are still waiting on confirmations from some very big names.
If they say no, we’ll just have to make do with a cardboard cut out of Reg Varney.
