Hosts
Brian Luff is a former Channel 4 comedy writer and producer, and most recently was responsible for editing the BBC Comedy website. Georgina Sowerby is a comedy writer and performer, and produced Sketch Club, one of the longest-running sketch shows on the London fringe. Together, they have recorded over 350 chart-topping podcasts for Comedy 365, including Sowerby & Luff’s Big Squeeze and The Sowerby & Luff Show, and currently produce a brand new edition of It’s Sowerby & Luff for Comedy 365 every week.
Richard Cray fronts our house band Dogs Must Be Carried, which has satirized some of the biggest pop and rock acts in the world (as well as Moby), and 2008 sees him branching out into the realms of news satire and sketch comedy with Liar News and becoming the new host of Comedy 365’s music show Chickenflaps. Richard is also the custodian of the vast Comedy 365 archive, responsible for editing and remastering the Classic Sowerby & Luff compilations and our Most Wanted season. Clever boy.
John Dredge has been a regular on Comedy 365 since its very humble beginnings with his hilarious programmes Things, The Really Short Show, and the Not on TV Show, and there’s plenty more where that came from. He is also the host of The John Dredge Programme Show on London’s Resonance FM and has the second largest collection of plinths in Middlesex.
Greg Sammons and Andy Kind present Unconstructive Criticism, the only monthly satirical talk show with its finger firmly on the pulse of national and international news ever to be based in Stoke-on-Trent. Greg regularly presents shows on Cross Rhythms City Radio and Andy is a stand-up comedian on the UK circuit.
For 2008, we’re pleased to welcome Missouri-born and New York-based stand up Will Franken to Comedy 365 with his acclaimed podcast Things We Did Before Reality. We’ll be airing the first ten episodes as a series and will bring you new episodes as soon as Will’s able to get a break from his increasingly hectic touring schedule around the US.
Also new for 2008 is Pegabovine, a British comedy-theatre company featuring Matthew Henry Johnson, Luke Kennard, Jenny Sutton, and Davis Wateracre. The troupe has created a buzz at the Edinburgh Fringe over the last couple of years with their productions The Slush Pile and Coat of Arms, and are widely tipped for big things in the future. We think you’ll get a buzz out of them too.
We’ve also featured shows by DATA Radio, Blue Pepper, Miles Eady, Yazz Fetto & Dan Palmer, Ben & Jon, Tom Barnes & Spike Breakwell, Collinge & Lord, Banks & Lawson, and Todd Justice, and have syndicated Chris Skinner’s Simulacrum, The Adventures of Tea Man from DQD Philadelphia and Ewan Spence’s Edinburgh Fringe Show from The Podcast Network.
